Tender For 5 MW Rooftop Solar Issued in Maharashtra

The Public Works Department (PWD) of Amravati has issued a tender inviting bid for the selection of developers to set up cumulative 5 MW of solar capacity rooftop projects at various places distributed in 12 electrical divisions and approximately 309 rest houses in different districts of Maharashtra.

The rooftop solar projects will be developed under the RESCO mode. And the brief scope of work for selected bidder will include the Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of the cumulative 5 MW capacity rooftop projects. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the rooftop systems for a period of 25 years from the date of commissioning.

The last date of bid submission is February 26, 2019, and the technical and financial bids will be opened on February 28, 2019.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 30 crore and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 75 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder must have experience of installation of aggregate 1000 kWp solar PV system. And, must have experience of installation of a single project of minimum 300 kW capacity in RESCO mode on any Government/Semi-government organisation during last three years (2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and current financial year).

And financially, the bidder should have an annual turnover of maximum Rs 18 crore during any one year for the last five financial years. (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18)

Based on the proposed capacity for each location PPA shall be signed within 10 days of finalization of the bid. And, the selected bidder shall commission the rooftop solar plants at all the locations within a period of 45 days from the date of signing of PPA.
