MAHAGENCO Invites EOI for 600 MW Solar Projects in Maharashtra

Under the “Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojna,” the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has invited an Expression of Interest to establish six solar power plants in six different regions of Maharashtra with a cumulative capecity of 600 MW. Each plant has 100 MW of capacity.

The projects will be implemented in Nagpur, Amravati, Aurangabad, Konkan, Nashik, and Pune. Depending on the available substation link, each solar project’s capacity will range from 2 MW to 10 MW.

The last date for submitting the online bid is October 19, 2022.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include setting up the solar plant of awarded capacity, including design & engineering, manufacture/procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning including warrantee obligation with 25 (Twenty Five) years of comprehensive operation and maintenance. Bidder/SPD shall be responsible for applicable taxes/duties/cess or other charges during the execution of the project and thereafter 25 years of the PPA period.

Each interested bidder will have to be submitted Rs. one lakh per MW as an Earnest Money Deposit / Bank Guarantee for the capacity (MW) offered.

To choose the developer, MAHAGENCO will use reverse bidding. After evaluating the tariffs offered by bidders, MAHAGENCO will decide the base per-kWh price for the reverse auction. Land must be secured by bidders for the project.

Nearby to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company’s 11kV substation, the land may be owned or leased (MSEDCL). Each project’s capacity must fall between 2 MW and 10 MW by the MSEDCL-provided grid connectivity feasibility for the specific substation. The capacity and grid connectivity of the substation must be confirmed and evaluated by bidders.

Bidders can view/download this MAHAGENCO’s Expression of Interest with cumulative capecity of 600 MW solar project tender documents and technical specifications here.

Earlier, Maharashtra State Power Generation (MAHAGENCO) invited online bids for engineering, procurement & commissioning (EPC tenders) for its 2 different projects. Both tenders had 25 MW & 2 MW capacity.
