MAHAGENCO Floats Solar EPC Tenders for 25 MW, 2 MW

Maharashtra State Power Generation (MAHAGENCO) has invited online bids for engineering, procurement & commissioning (EPC tenders) for its 2 different projects. Both tenders have 25 MW & 2 MW capacity. The 25 MW of grid-connected solar tender will be developed at Shivajinagar at Taluka & 2 MW solar tender will be at Koradi & Chandrapur Thermal Power Station, Maharashtra.

Last date of submission of an online bid

21st of July 2022 is the last day to submit the online bid for both tenders.

Both tenders include Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing, and Commissioning work & power developer will be responsible for O&M, Warranty, and Insurance for 5 years. 

For 25 MW Solar Tender

Bidders will have to quote the following information in their bid for the specified technical scope of work:

• Price(L) in INR per MU inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties
• Guaranteed Annual Generation (G) in MU > G
• DC/AC ratio = Cumulative DC capacity of the solar arrays / Cumulative rated AC capacity of inverters at reference ambient temp. (As per specification)

Contract Price (X) = Price Per MU (L) X Guaranteed Annual Generation (G) in INR

Each interested bidder needs to submit a Bid Security / Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1.16 Crore along with the bid in form of a bank guarantee. This Bid Security will be valid for 180 days from the date of submission.

1. The net worth of the tenderer/ bidder as of 31st March of the previous financial year shall be Positive. 
2. The average annual turnover during the preceding three consecutive financial years of the Bidder /consortium shall be at least Rs 95 Crores.

• Bidder will have to make the required HT/LT arrangement for auxiliary power supply arrangement & shall bear the power charges for utilization of power for his construction work and 5 years of O&M of the solar plant.
• Solar module manufacturers must have supplied modules with at least a cumulative installed capacity of 50 MW or above per year consecutively during the last five years. 
• The contractor shall provide the performance certificate from the owner or developer of any grid-connected single solar power project with a minimum capacity of 10 MWAC

For 2 MW Solar Tender

• Maharashtra State Power Generation (MAHAGENCO) has invited bids in two parts (1 MW each) for this solar EPC tenders. 
• Each interested bidder will have to pay the vendor registration fees of ₹5000/- + GST Extra as applicable before the last submission date. 
• Bidder will have also to pay Rs 1180/- (inclusive of Applicable GST) the tender fee before the last date of payment of tender fees. 
• Both registration fees are non-refundable. 

TPS Bid Security Amount (in INR) for

Koradi TPS = Rs 5.30 lakhs

Chandrapur TPS = Rs5.14 Lakhs

• The bidder who opts to quote for both MAHAGENCO EPC tenders will provide separate bank guarantees with EMD amounts for individual projects. 
• The Bidder should have experience of having completed EPC contracts of grid-connected Rooftop Solar PV Plants of 100 KW capacity at the single roof with a cumulative capacity of a minimum of 500 KW. (which should have been commissioned before the bid submission date.)
• The net worth of the bidder as of 31st March of the previous financial year shall be positive. 
• The average annual turnover during the preceding three consecutive financial years of the Bidder

For Koradi TPS = Rs 1.59 Cr. 

For Chandrapur TPS = Rs1.54 Cr. 

• The eligible bidder of MAHAGENCO EPC tenders will have to pay 10% of the contract value including taxes as a Bank Guarantee within 30 days of the issue of the Letter of the award. This Bank Guarantee shall be valid for 90 days beyond the 5 years of O&M period.
• The mechanical structures, electrical works, and overall workmanship of the grid solar power plant must be warranted for a minimum of 10 years. 
• PV modules used in grid solar power plants must be warranted for output wattage, which shall not be less than 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
