KEC Int’l Bags new Transmission & Distribution Orders Worth Rs 890 Crore

KEC International has announced that its transmission and distribution (T&D) business has received new orders worth Rs 890 crore.

KEC International Ltd, a global infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major, an RPG Group Company, has announced that it has secured new orders of Rs 1,033 crore across its various businesses. The biggest share of the new orders has been received by the firms’ transmission and distribution (T&D) business, which the firm claims has received orders worth Rs 890 crore.

The company revealed that its T&D business has secured orders of Rs 890 crore for T&D projects in India, Africa, East Asia Pacific and the Americas.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd said, “we are happy with the new order wins amidst global upheavals. Our International order book has strengthened significantly in the last few months, especially in the Middle East and Africa regions. In line with our strategy to diversify into new segments, we are pleased with the order win for metro electrification works, which marks our entry into the technologically enabled areas of urban infrastructure.”

The firm has revealed that it has secured orders of Rs 79 crore for signalling and telecommunication (S&T) and Metro Electrification works in India. Furthermore, the firm has also announced that it has secured orders of Rs 64 crore for various types of cables/ cabling projects in India and Overseas.

KEC has a presence in the verticals of Power Transmission and Distribution, Railways, Civil, Solar, Smart Infrastructure and Cables. The Company is currently executing infrastructure projects in over 30 countries and has a footprint in 100+ countries (includes EPC & Supply). It is the flagship company of the RPG Group.

In August, the firm had announced that it had bagged multiple orders worth Rs 1,192 crore across business segments including power transmission and distribution (T&D), urban infrastructure, civil construction, and cables. The firm had secured orders of Rs 821 crore for T&D projects in India, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Malaysia, Africa and the Americas and a Rs 146 crore order from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd for the construction of viaduct and station for Phase-1 extension of Kochi metro rail project.
