KEC Secures Orders Worth Rs 1192 Cr in Transmission, Cables and More

KEC International has bagged multiple orders worth Rs 1,192 crore across business segments including power transmission and distribution.

Maharashtra headquartered infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company KEC International Ltd has announced it has bagged multiple orders worth Rs 1,192 crore across business segments including power transmission and distribution (T&D), urban infrastructure, civil construction and cables.

The firm has secured orders of Rs 821 crore for T&D projects in India, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Malaysia, Africa and the Americas and a Rs 146 crore order from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd for construction of viaduct and station for Phase-1 extension of Kochi metro rail project.

“We are pleased with the new order wins secured amidst global uncertainties. Our T&D order book continues to grow on the backdrop of orders secured across various geographies,” Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Vimal Kejriwal said.

The company has also bagged a Rs 57 crore order for infrastructure work in the warehouse space in India apart from another Rs 168 crore contract for multiple cabling projects.

KEC International is a flagship company of the RPG Group. It has presence in multiple segments including Power T&D, Railways, Civil, Solar, Smart Infrastructure and Cables.

In March, we had reported that the firm had secured new orders worth at least Rs 1,047 crore across its various businesses spanning from transmission and distribution to solar energy projects in India and abroad.

In the transmission and distribution business, its T&D business and SAE Towers have secured orders of Rs 669 crore for T&D projects in India, SAARC, Middle East and the Americas. In the civil sector, the firm has secured orders of Rs 153 crore for Defence (setting up a data centre) and residential projects in India. And the cables business has secured orders of Rs 121 crore for various types of cables/ cabling projects.

The firm has also added that its solar business has secured orders of Rs 104 crore for solar projects in India and the Middle East.
