Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. (KPCL) has floated a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M tender) of 1.15 MW capacity (AC). This 1.15 MW solar power plant is a floating solar plant installed at YCCPP Raw Water Pond, Bengaluru.

The last date for submitting the online bid is October 28, 2022, till 4:00 pm and the bid will be opened on October 29, 2022, at 5:00 pm.

Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 5000 (including 18% GST) as a tender/bid processing fee. Each interested bidder will also have to pay Rs. 9,22,500/- as an earnest money deposit. The bidder will also have to pay Rs. 1 lakh as an EMD e-payment. The awarded bidder will have to submit Rs 822500/- as a performance bank guarantee (PBG) after the issuance of the letter of intent and before signing the power purchase agreement (PPA). 

The bidders must have experience in the same kind of work with floating solar power projects within the previous five years. The projects must comprise transmission line construction, switchyard/substation bay, design, supply, installation, testing & commissioning, operation, and maintenance of solar power plants. 

The minimum annual turnover for the last three financial years, the requirement for prospective bidders to participate in the bidding process at least shall be calculated as follows:

4.0 Cr. X Capacity in MW bidder is bidding X 0.7 = X Cr. 

The net worth of the bidder during the last financial year shall be positive & not be less than 100% of the paid-up share capital, wherein the net worth shall be calculated as follows:

Net Worth = (Equity + Reserves) – (Revaluation reserves+ intangible assets + miscellaneous expenses to the extent not written off + carried forward losses)
