Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF) has invited bids for 100 MW of open-access solar power projects under the group captive model.
The last date for submitting the bid for this 100 MW solar power project is August 16, 2022, and bids will be opened on August 18, 2022.
This 100 MW of KMF (Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation) solar tenders includes installing and commissioning work and the power developer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years.
The estimated total cost of this solar open-access project is Rs. 392 Crores. Awarded bidder will have to pay Rs. 4.31 crore as an earnest money deposit. Additionally, within 20 days of receiving the letter of acceptance, the successful bidder will have to pay a security deposit equal to 7.8 percent of the contract value.
The base price of power has been fixed at Rs. 3.85/kWh, which includes transmission fees and the electricity cess. The proposed group captive solar project's base capacity is around 100 MW to guarantee that KMF and its member milk unions can draw 132.22 MU yearly after deducting all electricity costs (wheeling & banking charges and transmission losses).

Eligibility Criteria
- The bidder should have finished a solar project with a minimum 80 MW capacity to participate in the bidding process.
- The bidder should have completed a comparable project worth at least Rs. 198 crore in the last five years.
- The bidder should have completed at least one electrical project worth at least Rs. 140 crore in the previous five years and hold the necessary super-graded electrical contractor license to carry out electrification work.
- The bidder must have had a minimum average annual revenue of Rs. 784 crores during the previous two years.
- The bidder should have a minimum net worth of Rs. 87 crores.
