Inverter Major Sungrow Hits 10 GW Shipment Record In India

Sungrow, the global leading inverter solution supplier for renewables, has breached a new milestone for PV inverter shipments in India – 10 GW. Gratifyingly for the firm, it has not been even one year since the last 7 GW record, announced in January 2021. The company has clearly done well from the sharp recovery of the past ten months that the industry witnessed in India’s solar market. For Sungrow, the numbers vindicate its India strategy as well as the decision to set up manufacturing in India.

For Sungrow, the journey to 10 GW has been eventful. Since it entered the large market in 2014, it has leveraged, and benefited from multiple factors that created the opportunity for the firm to grow here.

With a strong 450 GW of renewable energy capacity target by 2030, India’s market offered a long runway of growth and opportunity when the firm entered India in 2014.
