GoodWe Hits 1.5 GW Milestone in India

Inverter major GoodWe, which has been a particularly strong player in the residential and commercial rooftop segment until recently, when it expanded offerings to the utility segment too, has crossed the 1.5 GW milestone in India. Considering the fact that a significant part of this number was achieved on the back of residential and commercial segments, the achievement is all the more creditable and an indicator of the goodwill and trust the brand has earned in India for its quality and performance. With its offerings in the utility segment, where it has already won projects worth over 1 GW in China, the firm is set to play a bigger role in the Indian market too.

The company celebrated the occassion at a special event in Delhi where it had invited key partners, stakeholders and other industry leaders. The Chief Guest was Anil Bhat, Business CEO, Distributed Generation, Amplus Solar who did the honor of lighting the lamp.

On the occasion, GoodWe Head of Sales for SEA & India, James,  was present virtually and welcomed everyone, and thanked customers and partners for their support. “GoodWe’s target is not only Rooftop segment but we also pay equal attention to utility segment and I am very happy to announce that we have got around 1 GW utility projects in China and have also commissioned utility projects in India like Sevenstar, etc.”, said James.

He further added, “GoodWe doesn’t stop at just being an inverter supplier, we are also developing batteries, BIPV (building integrated PV module) & EV car charging solutions. We have got around 13 million USD orders of batteries in 2021, which was the first year we launched the battery product. GoodWe is aiming to be an integrated solution supplier, to provide more choices to our customers, and be the innovator of smart energy.”

Key GoodWe India personnel, including Darshan Kumar Jain, Head of Sales, Awnish Pandey, Service Head, Vipin Bharadwaj, Sales Manager, and Mr. Balasubramanian, Head Technical cut a cake on the occassion.

GoodWe also utilised the opportunity to unveil its new brand new logo as well.
