China’s one of the largest Solar Module Maker GCL-Poly Energy is in talk with Essel Group to set up a solar module manufacturing facility in India.

China’s based solar equipment maker GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. reportedly plans to invest in India, attracted by the nation’s emerging green economy.

As reported in the Livemint, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. is in talks with Subhash Chandra’s Essel Group to set up a solar module manufacturing facility as part of its India entry plan.

The Hong Kong-listed firm, GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd had earlier acquired bankrupt SunEdison’s solar material business last year, also aims to develop solar power projects in India.
