The solar power plant is being established by Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA).
In a bid to promote solar energy and save expenditure on electricity, the district administration in Ludhiana is reportedly planning to install 20 KW solar plant at the mini secretariat. The solar power plant is being established with the help of Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA).
Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat speaking to ET EW said the district will be the first in the state to install a solar plant at administrative block of mini secretariat.
After installing the plant at mini secretariat, the district administration plans to install solar panels at other government buildings. Residents will also be encouraged to adopt solar power.
