Chinese solar product manufacturer Huasun has launched a new bifacial, dual-glass heterojunction (HJT) solar panels meant for ground-mounted PV applications. Huasun said that the new solar module is of 715 W and has been certified by TÜV SÜD Group.

The official statement of the firm mentioned, “Recently, Huasun’s Himalaya G12-132 HJT module successfully passed the full sequence test of TÜV SÜD Group and obtained the standard certification IEC61215 on PV module performance.”

It further added, “The maximum output power of the module has reached a breakthrough of 715W, setting a new high in the power of the same dimension of PV modules in the industry.” Although, Huasun has yet to disclose the efficiency rating of the 715 W module.

The measurement of the solar panel is 2,384 mm x 1,303 mm x 35 mm that weighs 38.7 kg. There are 132 half-cut monocrystalline HJT cells each of the size of 210 mm x 105 mm. They are dwelled with single-sided microcrystalline and super multi busbar (SMBB) cell technology.

Huasun said, “It has a double-glass structure, encapsulated with PIB, which not only has the high-efficiency properties of HJT, but also has better water resistance and anti-PID performance.”

The technological build

The module will be operating with a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V. It has an IP67/IP68 enclosure and black anodized aluminum frames. As per Huasun, the new product comes with a temperature coefficient of -0.26% per degree Celsius. Their operational temperature also ranges from -40 C to 85 C.

As per the revelation, two sides of the bifacial module are covered with 2.0 mm glass each. Huasun said that the bifaciality can be up to 85%.

Huasun gives a guarantee of 30-years for linear power output. It also offers a 15-year product guarantee. The module will degrade just 1% in the first year. The module maker aims at exceeding the production capacity of the module beyond 10 GW in 2023.

Huasun had originally introduced its G12 Himalaya series in the middle of 2022. The modules were available in five versions whose power outputs range from 680 W to 700 W. Huasun revealed that the power conversion efficiencies of the five module variants ranged from 21.90% to 22.5%.
