BSNL Issues Tender for 10 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

BSNL Issues Tender for 10 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has issued a tender inviting bids for the selection of project developers for the installation of 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects. These projects will be established across its buildings in several states. The projects are to be executed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.

The last day for submitting bids is June 28, 2023. The bids open on on June 30. Bidders can submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 500 per kilowatt (kW) of the quoted capacity. The successful bidder will have to provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 1,000 per megawatt (MW) of the approved capacity before the power purchase agreement (PPA) is signed.

The capacity allocation as per zones is as under:

Zone-I: Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu – 3.2 MW; Zone-II: Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana – 2 MW; Zone-III: Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal – 3.6 MW; Zone-IV: Uttarakhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura – 1.2 MW.

While the bidders can bid for any number of zones, the maximum total capacity allocated to a bidder cannot be more than 5 MW.
