BHEL Tenders for BOS Items and Commissioning of 50 MW Solar Plant in Maharashtra

BHEL has tendered for the supply of BOS items and the installation and commissioning of the 50 MW grid-connected solar power plant in Maharashtra.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Balance of System (BOS) items and the installation and commissioning of the 50 MW grid-connected solar power plant in Kaudgaon, Maharashtra.

The vendor scope includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of certain identified activities of the solar photovoltaic power plant. The selected bidders will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the BOS items upon successful commissioning. The developers will have a period of 70 days to complete the work on the project.

This scope will also include activities but not limited to obtaining approval from BHEL for the data sheets/ drawings/ testing / inspection at manufacturer’s works, packing, supply, transportation, transit insurance, delivery to site, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of certain AC and DC side activities of power plant identified under this specification.

The last date for bid submission is October 30, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The date and time of opening of the price bids will be intimated to the technically cleared bidders later.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidders should have executed contracts of indoor/outdoor electrical installations of 33 kV minimum in power plants or substations in India with scope including both supply and erection for a cumulative value of minimum Rs 6 crore with such individual contract values not less than Rs 1 crore within last 3 years from date of tender opening.

Additionally, the vendor should have achieved an annual average financial turnover of Rs 6 crore in the last three financial years (2016-17, 17-18 and 18-19).

In September, the firm had issued an identical tender, seeking bids for the supply of Balance of System (BOS) items and the installation and commissioning of the 10 MW solar PV power plant for Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals (GNFC) in Charanka, Gujarat.
