BHEL Floats Tender For Surveying & Investigation Works For 2 Solar Plants in Gujarat

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible parties for conducting a topological survey and soil investigation works for two solar power projects in the state of Gujarat.

The two project sites are the 75 MW solar PV plant for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation ltd (GSECL) in Anand district, and, a 10 MW solar plant for Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers and Chemicals (GNFC) in Gujarat Solar Park.

The scope of work for the tender includes for the full, final and entire completion of all soil investigation and topographical survey works as detailed in specifications and bill of quantity, which forms part of the contract. It also includes cleaning/removing all debris, refilling of holes, etc as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge, and supply of all materials, labour, tools, and plants, etc.

The last date for bid submission is June 10, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The date and time of the price bid opening will be intimated separately. The selected bidders will have a period of 6 weeks from the date of award of the contract to complete the work on the project.

The estimated cost of the tendered project is Rs 14.6 lakhs.

Recently, BHEL has issued a tender, inviting quotations for supply of auxiliary transformers for the 129 MW Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL) solar PV power plants in Telangana. The last date for bid submission is June 3, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. 

In March, a state-owned enterprise, NTPC had invited bids from eligible bidders for conducting the preliminary and detailed geotechnical investigations for Neemach Solar Park, Sajapur Solar Park and Agar Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.

The brief scope of work for selected bidder(s) included conducting field tests like Boreholes, Standard Penetration Test (SPT), the collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples (UDS), Trial Pits (TP), the collection of water samples, Electrical Resistivity Test (ERT), etc.
