Wind project
Acme Solar’s through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Private Limited, has now received a Certificate of Commissioning from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA). While sharing these details in a regulatory filing, the company said the 16 MW project falls under the second phase of its 100 MW wind power project.
This announcement follows the commissioning of its 16 MW wind project on November 19, 2025. The company has come a long way since the initial commissioning of its 19.8 MW wind project in Gujarat in June 2025. Acme Solar later expanded the project through the commissioning of an additional 28 MW unit in October this year via its subsidiary, followed by the commissioning of the 16 MW unit.
Building Wind Energy Projects in Gujarat
In the filing, the company said that this project is located in the villages of Dhakaniya, Dhajala, and Dhandhalpur, Taluka Sayla, District Surendranagar, Gujarat.
This wind power project has been financed through Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed in-house using EPC services, deploying SANY’s 4 MW turbines. The power generated from the project will be sold through the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
Previously, companies such as Delhi-based Juniper Green Energy commissioned 28 MW of wind power capacity from its 70 MW wind project in Devbhumi Dwarka, Gujarat, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Kite Private Limited. Similarly, Jakson Green, too, has earlier this year signed its first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in the wind energy segment with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), marking its entry into utility-scale wind power.
