The Indian Government has been giving a considerable push to e-mobility across India. Several initiatives have been launched and announcements made in this direction. Key among them is the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), that sets sights on establishing EV charging infrastructure with the employment of the recent technological platform and easy access to charging points.

In an initiative that further facilitates this, Tata Power has put up public chargers at the Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. Tata Power is among the largest EV charging solutions providers. So far, Tata Power has established more than 100 public/semi-public chargers across the city of Delhi.

The firm has established EV chargers that come with two fast and one moderate charger at the centre. Customers can look up these chargers via Tata Power EZ Charge App.

Tata Power, which boasts of strong presence in the EV charging space, has supplied energy to over 3000 public/semi-public chargers. This entails more than 450 charging points across 350 major highways along with more than 30,000 residential chargers.

The charging stations have fast charging technology and have come up at strategic locations like hotels and malls. Tata Power is now eyeing the nationwide goal of setting up 25,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points in the span of the next five years.
