Job Description

The Senior HR Partner will offer the full scope of HR guidance and support for India based Hybrids manufacturing, engineering, projects/services and support employees (hourly & salaried). This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This role will be directly aligned with the GE Hybrids business in India and will require onsite presence.

As the Senior HR Leader, you will:

  • Provide leadership and expertise for a broad range of HR activities including employee relations, benefits, talent and organization vitality, diversity and inclusion actions, compensation, training, organizational change, development, communications, and employee engagement
  • Serve as a credible coach to individual contributors, people leaders and senior leaders on various topics including career development, change management, and employee relations
  • Work closely with the organization and broader services leadership team to understand industry and market dynamics, and design and execute HR strategies and activities aligned with business priorities
  • HR point of contact/manager for all India based employees of the business on all org/people related matters
  • “Walk the floor,” and be available for employee & manager needs
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Organization and Talent Development professionals to execute business specific HR strategies
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environments
  • Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance, immigration, supervisor training, staffing selection processes and onboarding, employee development, payroll/benefits, etc.
  • Lead other Hybrids -wide HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups
  • Be an active leader in the Lean Transformation Culture across all functions
  • Develop appropriate Human Resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment and develop / implement appropriate change management plans, as required

Qualification And Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work in the Human Resources function with responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations, development, and performance management

Desired Qualification:-

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources
  • Experience working in an environment with non-exempt employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting Engineering function.
  • Strong Employee Relations experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Passionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed
  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels
  • Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness
  • Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, & confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work in demanding/changing environments, team oriented culture, see through complexity and ambiguity, energize/mobilize a team/client and strategically promote an inclusive/diverse workforce
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen resulting in the ability to connect dots and develop / drive HR agenda with proactive thought leadership.
  • Established project management skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously by documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs to completion
