Roles & Responsibilities:-

First Solar is a leader in the development and manufacturing of thin film solar modules used in grid-connected solar power plants, and is in the process of establishing a 3.3GW/annum integrated solar PV module manufactruing facility in India. Basic Job Functions:-

  • Originate opportunities from the market for sales of First Solar Thin Film PV modules in India with a focus on utility scale project users (large IPP’s, Federal or State Owned Utility companies)
  • Ability to negotiate and sucessfully conclude commercial transactions resulting on order booking”
  • Ability to run economic/ financial models to work out LCOE based value propsitions for the customer
  • Prompt follow-up with customers for orders, contract finalization,  payments, logistics;
  • Obtain required internal approvals for module allocation as well as contract execution;
  • Engages with customers on First Solar module technology, quality, reliability, energy advantage;
  • Keep track on competition offerings to decide First Solar module entitlements;
  • Track development in solar sector to generate leads and potential demand opportunity;
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales target;
  • Co-ordinate internally about module demand forecast and update in sales force to record potential opportunities;

Education:-

  • Bachelor degree in engineering;
  • MBA qualification will be an added advantage;

Experience:-

  • Overall 10 years of sales/commercial experience in the cleantech or power sector.
  • 5-7 Years of relevant sales experience in the solar PV sector in selling products (PV modules preferable) or other BOS components like inverters;

Required Skills:-

  • Communicate effectively with customers on First Solar module technology and advantage over competition technology;
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and written skills;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Ability to work both within team and independently;
  • Knowledge about Solar PV technology and Solar market;
  • Should be willing to travel;
