Zypp Electric Drives Its Service in Hyderabad Now

Zypp Electric, an EV-based startups focused on last-mile delivery, has announced the launch of its services in Hyderabad today.

The company has started its operation with 100 EV bikers in Hyderabad, the city of Pearls, and one of the leading technology hubs of the country. With this, Hyderabad becomes the first city for Zypp Electric to start its operations in Southern India. In the Smart city, it has partnered with grocery, e-retail, and food tech giants like Bigbasket, SPAR Hypermarkets, and Grofers to electrify the last mile delivery.

All the deliveries will be done with API (application programming interface) integrated electric vehicles. The company is also installing 20 battery swapping & charging stations to ensure a smooth run for its vehicles.

Zypp has hired a team of professionally trained riders both male and female for their deliveries.

In April Zypp electric had announced a partnership with Etrio, anther new electric vehicle start-up, to scale up its last-mile delivery with a 3-wheelers fleet. Under this association, 100 Etrio flagship brand Touro three-wheelers are going to be operational soon and this will scale up to 1000 three-wheelers in the next 6-8 months.

Before that in March 2021, Zypp partnered with Rapido, one of India’s first and fastest-growing Bike taxi apps, to launch an electric bike (e-bike) taxi service. Under the partnership Zypp will provide over 100 riders and electric two-wheelers as part of its Captain fleet, to reduce its carbon footprint and encourage EV adoption in the country.

Earlier this January, Zypp Electric had announced that it has set its goals of installing five thousand battery swapping stations in three years, across 100 cities. The company will install the battery swapping stations for electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) and electric three-wheelers (E3Ws).
