West Bengal to host and conduct regular trainings to develop solar technicians

Switch ON with National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) will host and conduct regular trainings in West Bengal to develop solar technicians.

Each training program will be conducted through 3-month-long Surya Mitra Solar Skill Development programme at Tapovan Training and Innovation Centre in Nadia.

Satyajit Biswas, MLA, Krishnaganj speaking to TOI said, “We are happy that Surya Mitra Programme is being organized in TopovON in Nadia. I hope that participants will give services to the rural people of Bengal after the completion of the programme.”

The training program was inaugurated by deputy director-general, NISE- Chandan Banerjee . Banerjee said, “We are really happy to see the first Surya Mitra Skill Development Programme take off in West Bengal. We are hopeful that will be a giant leap in addressing the skill gap in the Solar Sector!”

This training programme is sponsored by ministry of renewable energy. Each training programme consists of 30 participants and the total duration of the training will be three months.
