West Bengal Issues Tender for 11 MW solar Energy

The project is for 900 grid connected solar rooftop power projects of 10 KW capacity and 100 units of 20 KW capacity at multiple locations.

Increasing West Bengal’s share of solar power, West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency has issued a tender for the installation of 11 MW of solar power in the state.

The project is for 900 grid connected solar rooftop power projects of 10 KW capacity and 100 units of 20 KW capacity at multiple locations in the state.

The scope of work as mentioned in the tender documents is the supply, design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of the project along with providing operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of five years.

360 rooftop plants of 10 KW capacity and 40 units of 20 KW capacity will have to be completed in 300 days; 180 units of 10 KW and 20 units of 20 KW capacity will have a completion timeline of 240 days.

The last date for the submission of bid is February 5 2019. The total cost of the project is Rs 65 crore.

A total of 360 rooftop solar projects with 10 kW capacity each and 40 rooftop solar projects with 20 kW capacity each will be awarded to L1 bidder. Rest of the capacity will be awarded in L2, L3 and L4.
