West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Limited (WBSEDCL) has floated a tender for comprehensive O&M solar plants of four 10 MW ground mounted solar power plants.

The completion time is three years from the date of handing over the site.

The estimated cost of the project is INR 5,40,00000. The Earnest Money Deposit to be made by the bidder is INR 3,60,000.

The four locations where the services are to be delivered are the 10 MW solar project at canal top on TCFHP Tail Race Canal in Uttar Dinajpur; 10 MW solar project at Teesta Canal Bank at Uttar Dinajpur; 10 MW solar project at Salboni in Medinipur and 10 MW solar project at Khemsauli in Medinipur.

Bid submission begins on December 15, 2023. Bid submission ends on December 26, 2023. Technical bid opens on December 26, 2023.

To qualify technically, the bidder should have executed contract for the installation and commissioning of at least one grid connected 10 MW solar project or above during the preceding five years as on the date when the submission starts.

The O&M of solar plants is crucial to ensure that they function well and also meet energy production ambitions over the lifecycle. Thus, O&M of solar plants is essential to extend the lifespan of a solar plant. At the same time, the timely operation and maintenance O&M of solar plants helps minimize the multiple risks, such as soiling, micro-cracking, internal corrosion, among others, that solar plants are at.

Earlier, WBSEDCL invited bids for the supply and delivery of the spare parts of the Purulia Pumped Project of 225 MW.
