Waaree RTL Secures 435 MW DC Solar EPC Project

Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies (WAAREERTL) has been awarded a Letter of Award (LoA) for the execution of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) works of a solar power project of 300 MW AC/435 MW DC capacity, said the company in a filing to the stock exchange.

 The company’s filing read- WAAREE RTL secured the project for approximately Rs.346.33 Cr. (Excl. Taxes). The project is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2025- 26, as per the terms of the order.” The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant, along with the development of a state-of-the-art 33/220 kV pooling substation. The project will also feature robotic cleaning systems to ensure high performance and reduce long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) costs.

Waaree Renewable Technologies has executed over 2.3 GW of solar EPC projects and is currently implementing another 3.2 GW, reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector.

Company Seeks To Expand FDRE & RTC Projects

For the firm, which started the year with an order book of around 2.3 GW, that stands at around 3.2 GW of orders now. It executed 1.5 GW worth of contracts throughout last financial year.

The company has announced plans to enter the FDRE and RTC projects aggressively, which will also require BESS storage solutions alongside. The latest order, with its delivery timelines within the current financial year will be a significant boost to both its books and billings for the year.
