Waaree Energies Supplies Solar Panels for Terapanth Foods' Solar Project at Bhavnagar, Gujarat

One of India's top firms for supplying iodized salt to major FMCG brands, Terapanth Foods Limited- a Friends Group Company, has commissioned a 4 MW solar power project at Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Leading solar manufacturer Waaree Energies provided the firm with 335Wp polycrystalline solar panels for the said project.

Pankaj Babulal Singhvi from Terapanth Foods, stated, "The Group aspires to use renewable and clean energy to reduce carbon emissions to contribute to a cleaner world. Therefore, we installed a 4 MW solar power plant at Nana Asarana, Bhavnagar, using a clean energy source. Waaree Energies provided 335Wp polycrystalline solar panels for the project."

The producer of free flow iodized salt, Terapanth Foods, exports 0.60 million tonnes of salt annually to both domestic and foreign markets. With its flexible production setup and cutting-edge salt processing equipment, Terapanth is equipped to handle contract manufacturing for companies like ITC. The firm has already increased its production capacity by 2.50 lac MT under the name and branding of Perfect Chemfoods Industries. With this addition, the group's free flow iodized salt production will reach a total of 8.50 lac MT, making it the most in India.

Waaree Energies has a strong presence in Gujarat with its manufacturing capacity of 9 GW at its plants in Surat and Umbergaon. The firm manufactures high-wattage panels of 650WP, 600WP as well as 540WP from its manufacturing sites in Surat, Shree Godijee – Chikhli, Tumb, and Nandigram.
