Vikram Solar Gets 378.75 MW Order in its First INGEL Solar Project Partnership

NGEL issued tender for this project in June 2025 on behalf of IndianOil NTPC Green Energy Private Limited (INGEL) for the Bhuj, Gujarat project and awarded the project partially after eight months.

Kolkata-based solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar has secured an order to supply 378.75 MW of solar modules for a major project tendered by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). The modules will be supplied for a project located in Gujarat’s Kutch district, with deliveries expected to commence in FY26.

NGEL issued the tender in June 2025 on behalf of IndianOil NTPC Green Energy Private Limited (INGEL) for the Bhuj, Gujarat project and awarded the order partially after eight months. The modules supplied under this order will be deployed near Nakhatrana as part of a 600 MW solar project.

The project will be developed by INGEL, a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and NTPC Green Energy Limited. Under the scope of the order, Vikram Solar will supply its advanced N-TOPCon modules, engineered to deliver enhanced performance, reliability, and higher energy yield for utility-scale installations.

About the Tender

Under the tender, NTPC required the winning bidder to to use bifacial solar modules in the project with a total installed capacity of 750 MWp, configured as two blocks of 375 MWp each.

Under its scope NGEL was also required the winning bidder to manufacture, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of crystalline bifacial solar PV modules offering a minimum nominal rating of 570 Wp. These modules must fall under the open category and be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar PV modules.
