Vikram Solar Ltd, a prominent player in the solar energy sector today announced the appointment of Sabyasachi Biswas as Senior Vice-President for Digtal Transformation. In his role, Sabyasachi will make the strategic implementation of digital initiatives within the organization.

With over two decades of experience, Sabyasachi Biswas has demonstrated leadership in key markets worldwide, including the USA, Europe, China, Australia, and India. He has cultivated expertise in leading software solutions such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, as well as cutting-edge technologies in Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation.

Prior to joining Vikram Solar Ltd, Biswas held a distinguished position at IBM, where he served as the Global Leader of the Automation Center of Excellence (CoE), overseeing solutions and delivery for IBM Consulting. His extensive professional background also encompasses contributions at organizations like PwC and HPCL.

Sabyasachi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University and has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University.

Vikram Solar Limited has an international presence across 32 countries and boasts a portfolio of 1.42 GW EPC projects (commissioned + under execution) and 1,899 employees. Its cumulative production capacity stands at 3.5 GW.

Vikram Solar was among the pioneering movers into solar manufacturing in India when it started way back in 2006. A new venture backed by the firm at a serious scale announced plans in June to invest up to $1.5 billion in the US solar market, beginning with a factory in Colorado next year.
