Vestas Receives Wind Turbine Order Worth 84 MW in China

Vestas has received an 84 MW order in China that includes the supply of 22 turbines delivered in 3.8 MW power optimised mode

Vestas has received an 84 MW order in China that includes the supply of 22 (V136-3.45 MW) turbines delivered in 3.8 MW power optimised mode as well as a 5-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. Deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2020.

Earlier this month, the firm had announced that has received multiple orders for a combined 310 MW in wind turbine deliveries for projects in China and the US. In total, the group has received four orders with three received for projects in China worth 161 MW and one project in the US worth 149 MW.

In China the group has received two 55 MW orders, the first includes the supply of 25 V120-2.2 MW as well as a 2-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. With deliveries expected to begin in the second quarter of 2020, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter in the same year. And the second for the supply of 25 V110-2.2 MW as well as a 2-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. With deliveries and commissioning expected to be completed in the same period.

The last order has been received for a 51 MW project in China that includes a supply of 23 V120-2.2 MW as well as a 2-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) service agreement. The deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2020, while commissioning is planned for the second quarter of 2020.

Prior to that the firm had also announced that it has been awarded an order for 252 MW for three wind energy projects in Russia from WEDF (Wind Energy Development Fund), a joint investment fund created on a parity basis by PJSC Fortum and JSC RUSNANO. Located in the Kalmykiya and the Rostov region, the projects will comprise of 60 (V126-4.2 MW) wind turbines.
