Vayona Energy, a wind turbine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) active across India and South Asia, has signed a 702 MW wind power agreement with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited.
Under the agreement, Vayona Energy will supply 195 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines for multiple wind projects across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. The projects are expected to collectively add 702 MW of new wind generation capacity and further strengthen Tata Power Renewable Energy’s wind portfolio, which now exceeds 2 GW across operational assets and projects under development.
Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman of Vayona Energy, said, “This landmark agreement signed marks a significant milestone as we accelerate our journey in India. We deeply value TPREL’s continued trust and look forward to advancing collaboration and driving sustainable growth together.”
Over 3.6 GW in Order Book
According to Vayona, its 3X turbine platform is gaining market confidence due to its technology reliability and performance under Indian operating conditions.
Pritesh Vinay, Chief Executive Officer, Vayona Energy added, “We are ramping up our production facilities to meet growing market demand while strengthening our commitment to “Make in India”. With more than 3.6 GW in orders and over 2 GW installed as of December 2025, our 3X platform continues to earn strong market confidence in its technology and proven performance in India”.
Company Overview and Growth Outlook
Vayona Energy reports a portfolio exceeding 12 GW across operational and development assets. The new agreement with Tata Power Renewable Energy highlights ongoing expansion in India’s wind sector.
Earlier this month, Vayona Energy entered the Indian market with a 64.8 MW wind turbine supply and O&M contract from Oyster Renewable Energy for a project in Andhra Pradesh.
The former onshore wind business of Siemens Gamesa in India was reborn as Vayona Energy in December 2025, as its backers set out their stall as a major regional player.
