Vayona Energy has announced its first deal in the Indian market, signing an agreement with Oyster Renewable Energy Private Limited for the supply of wind turbines for a 64.8 MW project in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. The order marks a key milestone in Vayona Energy’s India entry strategy following its acquisition from Siemens Gamesa.

Project Scope and Technology Details

Under the agreement, Vayona Energy will supply 18 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines, aggregating to 64.8 MW of installed capacity. The contract also includes a long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement. The project will be developed in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, expanding Oyster Renewable’s footprint in southern India.

Vayona Energy said the project aligns with its strategy to scale onshore wind solutions across India and Sri Lanka, leveraging its existing manufacturing base and technology portfolio.

Manufacturing and Delivery Timeline

Vayona Energy said major components for the turbines will be manufactured and assembled at its Mamandur facility near Chennai. Supply for the project is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of calendar year 2026.

Since the launch of its 3X platform in India, the company’s order intake has crossed 3.6 GW, with installations exceeding 2 GW as of December 2025. According to the company, this reflects strong market confidence in its technology, execution capabilities, and turbine performance under Indian operating conditions.
