TP Saurya Joins Hands with Tata Power Trading Company for 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

TP Saurya Joins Hands with Tata Power Trading Company for 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd Inks PDA for 13.2 MW Group Captive Solar Plant 

TP Saurya Limited (TPSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL) to set up a 200 MW (280 MW) solar project at Bikaner in Rajasthan.

The plant will be commissioned by March 2024. TPTCL has entered into a PPA with TPSL for a duration of 25 years. The project will be connected to the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus and will supply 485 million units of energy annually.

The win takes the total renewables capacity of TPREL to 6,788 MW with an installed capacity of 3,917 MW, with solar at 2,989 MW and wind at 928 MW. Another 2,871 MW are under various stages of implementation.

TPREL has a state-of-the-art solar cell and module manufacturing plant of 1.2 GW in Bengaluru and plans to set up a Greenfield 4 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module plant.

TPREL recently received a ‘Letter of Award’ (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), a wholly owned corporate entity under the Maharashtra Government, to set up a 200 MW solar PV project in Solapur, Maharashtra.

INOX Air Products (INOXAP) and TP Saurya Limited recently joined hands for setting up a captive solar plant at Dhule, Maharashtra. The solar power project boasts of a capacity of 40MWp.
