Tiruppur Smart City Issues Tender for 2 MW Solar Project

Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation has issued a tender for a 2 MW ground-mounted solar project in Iduvai village.

Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation (TCMC) has issued a tender for a 2 MW ground-mounted solar project in Iduvai village.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the engineering, procurement, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage at site, site development, construction, erection and installation of equipment, testing and commissioning of the 2 MW solar system. The selected developers will also be required to provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of the plant for a period of 10 years.

The last date for bid submission is July 9, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. All bidders have to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 11.85 lakh along with their bids as a bid security amount.

To be eligible, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/ supervised commissioning of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 1 MW or more in Central Government/State Government/Local Body/PSU’s.

Financially, the bidder. Should have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 25 crore in the three preceding financial years. And, the minimum turnover in the field of PV in the last /current financial year shall be a minimum of Rs 5 crore, while having a positive net worth.

The Solar Power generated from the Project shall be wheeled to the Tiruppur Corporation’s water pumping station and any other location specified by the employer.

In February,  the Tiruppur Smart City Limited (TSCL) had issued a tender, inviting bids for setting up a 4.8 MW solar PV power plant at the Iduvai Village in Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation, Tamil Nadu.

The power generated from the first tender for developing 4.8 MW of solar power projects will also be supplied to the Tiruppur Corporation’s water pumping station primarily.
