Tender Issued for Rooftop Solar Systems at 34 Health Centres in Nagpur

MEDA has tendered for the commissioning of rooftop solar PV power plants under net metering at 34 primary health centres in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has issued a tender for the commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plants under net metering at 34 primary health centres in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Each site will get an 8 kW rooftop solar system with a full load battery back up for four hours. The total capacity to be developed under the tender will be 272 kW and will be done using the DPC, Nagpur fund.

The scope of work for the selected developers will include the design, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop solar systems with net metering with full load battery back up of 4 hrs (Hybrid) at all the 34 selected primary health centres in the district. The selected developers will have a period of 120 days from the date of issue of the work order to complete the work on the installation of the project.

The developers will have to provide operation and maintenance services for the plants under a comprehensive maintenance contract for a period of 5-years from the date of successful commissioning, and they will also be required to provide with automatic cleaning system of PV panel for each site

The last date for bid submission is May 26, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 27, 2020. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for May 21, 2020, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. The estimated cost of the entire project including the 5 years CMC is Rs 3.672 crore and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 3.672 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder should have installed and commissioned 500 kW capacity (single or cumulative) grid-connected rooftop net metering systems and 50 kW (single or cumulative) grid-connected system with hybrid inverter/off-grid during the last three years.

Furthermore, the bidders must have a cumulative turnover of minimum Rs 5 Crore during the last three years.

Recently, MEDA had issued a similar tender for commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plants under net metering at two sub-district hospitals and rooftop solar systems with full load battery back up at 10 rural hospitals in Maharashtra. The total rooftop capacity of the tender is 283 kW, which has been divided between the 12 locations. The last date for bid submission on this tender is May 11, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 12, 2020.
