Tender Issued for Procuring Solar Lighting System and Solar Water Heater

The notice inviting tender also specifies that the bidder should produce forest contract registration certificate for the year 2018-19 registered in Yellapur.

Karnataka Forest department has issued a tender for the procurement of Solar lighting system & Solar water heater.

Not mentioning many details, the tender notice says that the bidder must have provided at least 50% of the tender quantity in last two years.

The last date for submission of bid is December 26, 2018.

The tender has been given out by the forest department of Yellapur division,Yellapur. The notice inviting tender also specifies that the bidder should produce forest contract registration certificate for the year 2018-19 registered in Yellapur.

Karnataka has been taking significant steps towards moving to solar energy with some huge project under development in the state.

In January this year Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited had tendered 1200 MW of grid connected solar PV projects, out of which 550 MW could only be successfully auctioned.

In April, KREDL awarded 250 MW of the solar project to Fortum Corporation and Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd after retendering 650 MW.
