TANGEDCO Solicits Bids for 420 MW Solar Power Under PM-KUSUM

TANGEDCO issues 420 MW tender

Tamil Nadu Generation And Distribution Corporation Ltd (TANGEDCO) has issued a tender that invites bids for 420 MW of solar power under PM-KUSUM Scheme (Component A).

The last date for the submission of bids is 08.03.2023.

The bid processing fee is Rs 5000. The EMD is Rs 100,000.

The ceiling tariff of Rs 3.30 has been set by TANGEDCO.

TANGEDCO will enter into a PPA of 25 years with the successful bidder from the COD. As per TANGEDCO, the modules used in the project have to be (Approved List of Models & Manufacturers) ALMM-approved issued by the MNRE.

PM-KUSUM, an initiative introduced in 2019 to provide energy security to farmers, is divided into three components. Component A of PM-KUSUM Scheme looks to add 10,000 MW of solar capacity through installation of small Solar Power Plants of individual plants of capacity upto 2 MW.

Under this component, solar energy-based power plants (SEPP) of capacity 500 kW to 2 MW will be setup by individual farmers/ group of farmers/ cooperatives/ panchayats/ Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO)/Water User associations (WUA) hereinafter called Solar Power Generator (SPG). PM KUSUM component-A guidelines, the timeline for completing grid-connected solar power projects is 12 months from the date of issuing the letter of award (LoA) to the farmer or developer.

The timeline for PM-KUSUM has been extended to March 2026.
