Suzlon's S144 – 3 MW Wind Turbine Series Gets RLMM Enlisting
A provider of renewable energy solutions, Suzlon has revealed that it has won a 39 MW wind power project from Thermax Group firm, First Energy. The order forms a part of a wind-solar hybrid project of 100 MW capacity by First Energy 5 Pvt Ltd.
Suzlon will be responsible for the installation of 13 wind turbine generators (WTGs) that will come with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower. The rated capacity of each WTG will be 3 MW.
The project will be established in Thalaikattupuram, Tuticorin located in Tamil Nadu. It is slated to be commissioned by next year in 2024.
Earlier, Suzlon Group had announced a new order win for the development of a 50.4 MW wind power project for Sembcorp’s renewables subsidiary Green Infra Wind Energy Limited. The firm will be responsible for installing 24 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each. The project, established in Karnataka is expected to be commissioned in 2024.
As of December 2022, Suzlon has a cumulative global installation of over 19.7 GW of wind energy capacity and owns 13.8 GW of wind energy assets under service in India. The Group boasts of 5.9 GW of installed capacity outside India.
