Suresh Prabhu, the Indian Railway Minister will be inaugurating a new solar power plant at Pune’s railway station on 2nd September, 2016.
The 160kWp solar plant will consist of 510 solar modules and string inverters. It is expected to meet 60% of total daytime power requirements.
The plant will be generating about 600-650 units of electricity per day amid sunny weather, and about 2.3 to 2.4 lakh units annually.
The corporate social responsibility arm of Persistent Systems Ltd, the Persistent Foundation has come up with the initiative. The 160kWp solar power plant is in sync with the diesel generator and MSEDCL supply.
