Surana Solar Wins 5MW Rooftop Solar PV Project in Andhra Pradesh

Kakinada Smart City Corporation’s 5MW Rooftop Solar PV Project will be developed under the RESCO model for at Rs.5.25 ($0.081)/kWh.

Surana Solar has won the bid to develop 5MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV Project in Kakinada City, Andhra Pradesh with a lowest tariff quoted at Rs.5.25 ($0.081)/kWh.

The bids were tendered by Kakinada Smart City Corporation under the RESCO model for site survey, investigation, design, supply, installation, commissioning, synchronizing and maintenance of the grid-connected Rooftop Solar PV Project on net-metering basis. Surana Solar has also received orders from Tejas India Solar Energy supply of solar modules for 3MW solar power plant at a cost of Rs.140 million ($2.16 million) in Kodakandla Village, in the Medak District of Telangana.
