By embedding the Wysips Reflect module into LunaR, the LunaR is expected to bring exceptional battery life to the user

MED with Sunpartner is gearing up to launch “LunaR”, first solar smartwatch powered by Wysips Transparent Solar Module at CES 2017. The smartwatch uses Wysips Reflect technology that company introduced last year. The smartwatch will be displayed at ANT+* Wireless Pavilion I Tech West I Booths #43427, #43626.

LunaR is an everyday hybrid smartwatch that combines a minimalistic design with smart connectivity said the company in a statement. Powered by Sunpartner’s Wysips Reflect technology, it provides the most advanced connected features such as dual time zones, sunrise & sunset, activity-tracking and phone notifications via a RGB LED indicator supporting more than 16 million different colors.

By embedding the Wysips Reflect module into LunaR, the LunaR is expected to bring exceptional battery life to the user and break the limits and barriers that the wearable devices industry has encountered so far.

LunaR creator, Michael Yuen, Founder & CEO of MED said “Given that extended battery life is key to the success of a smartwatch, we are excited that we were able to secure an additional energy source without having to compromise on design. Due to its remarkable transparency of 60% and exceptional energy-conversion rate, Wysips® Reflect extends the connected watch autonomy up to 50%. With these outstanding performance,Sunpartner established a new standard for solar-charging!”

“Bringing innovation into a traditional market such as the Watch market is a challenge that requires market vision, industrial acumen, above all, the intimate sense of User Experience.  We are very proud that Michael and his team at MED recognized in our technology a key pilar of their product features,” says Ludovic Deblois, CEO of Sunpartner Technologies.
