Sungrow Wins Enterprise for Best Practices in Achieving SDGs in 2021 From UNGC

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Network China unveiled the list of Enterprises for Best Practices in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2021. Inverter major Sungrow was shortlisted given its outstanding practices in catalyzing global carbon neutrality.

Multiple activities have been done by Sungrow to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. As a dedicated member of the international RE100 and EP100 initiatives, Sungrow pledged to source 100% renewable energy for global manufacturing and operations, and increase its energy productivity by over 35% with 2018 considered the base year.

Sungrow Plants With Rooftop Solar

The Company has the world’s largest inverter manufacturing base with an annual production capacity of 140 GW. As one of China’s Green Factories, the factory is installed with solar rooftop plants, switching to adopt more clean energy in daily manufacturing. In 2021, over 35% of the Company’s energy consumption relies on clean energy, and the proportion is expected to be larger in 2022 and beyond.
