Sungrow Unveils ECO-Balcony Solar System for Compact Urban Spaces By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Jun 26th, 2025 Sungrow Unveils ECO-Balcony Solar System for Compact Urban Spaces Global solar giant Sungrow has launched its new ECO-Balcony Solution in Europe, targeting urban households with limited space as demand for compact renewable energy systems continues to grow across the continent. Designed for balconies, gardens, and patios, the ECO-Balcony system is available in 450 W and 800 W capacities. The plug-and-play setup allows for DIY installation, with the S800S microinverter – about the size of a book – enabling users to complete wiring in just three steps. The system supports mainstream PV modules with a 16 A input current and features Staubli standard connectors for reliable performance. Safety features include a low DC voltage under 60 V and IP67-rated protection against water and dust. It also boasts C5-level corrosion resistance for use in coastal areas. On the cybersecurity front, Sungrow’s system stores all user data locally – a rarity in the sector – and complies with the EU’s GDPR and RED EN 18031 cybersecurity regulations. The system offers end-to-end data protection across communication, system, and application layers. Connectivity is enhanced via Bluetooth 5.0 and a built-in WLAN antenna, allowing users to monitor energy generation and consumption in real-time through the iSolarCloud app. The platform also offers remote diagnostics and support access. Visually, the system blends into modern home environments with a sleek silver-grey finish and minimalist design. According to Sungrow, the product is aimed at empowering households to adopt clean energy in a compact and aesthetic format. As of December 2024, Sungrow had installed over 740 GW of power electronic converters globally and leads the PV inverter market, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights.
