Sungrow & SOL+ Distribuidora Forge Partnership for 500 MW Inverter Distribution in Brazil

Developer and producer of photovoltaic inverter technology, Sungrow, and SOL+ Distribuidora, the new business front of Holding SOL Copérnico, based in Brazil, have entered into a partnership facilitating distribution for the Brazilian market. As per the agreement, SOL+ will be responsible for the distribution of 500 MW of on-grid Sungrow photovoltaic inverters in all of Brazil, along with warranty, support and local technical assistance.

Following the partnership, SOL+ will become a nerve centre of distribution for the inverter firm in Brazil, for the entire range of inverters for distributed micro and mini-generation.

As per Joaquim Fernandes, Business Director at SOL+, the partnership forged with Sungrow is the beginning of an important initiative aimed at the development of the distributed microgeneration market with and cost-effective solutions for resellers and integrators throughout Brazil. Further, the partnership will help extend Sungrow’s leadership reach with respect to residential inverters up to 10kW.

Rafael Ribeiro, Country Manager of Sungrow Brazil says that the manufacturer has firm set its sights on the domestic market, and has been making investments with a view to expand both in terms of infrastructure and human resources. The target market is the residential sector. With this goal in mind, Sungrow continues to structure the distribution channel, forming a team and establishing a strategic partnership with SOL+. This will allow the firm to upgrade its expertise, solidity, history and reach.

As of June 2022, Sungrow boasts of over 269 GW of installed capacity worldwide. Its portfolio also offers photovoltaic inverter solutions and energy storage systems for utility-scale, commercial, industrial and residential applications, as well as floating photovoltaic power plants, ultra-compact electric vehicle (NEV) solutions, electric vehicle charging station solutions and renewable hydrogen production systems. Sungrow has a presence in more than 150 countries.
