SJVN Floats BoS Tender for 100 MW Solar Plants in Punjab Tariff Discovered in SJVN 1.5 GW Tender Exceeds INR 4 per Kwh

For 100 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Punjab, SJVN Green Energy has published a tender for the balance of system (BoS), which includes three years of complete operation and maintenance (O&M). The two 50 MW projects will be deployed in two different parts of the state.

The last date to submit the bids is November 14, 2022, & bids will be opened on the same day. 

The interested bidders will have to pay Rs. 2.6 crores as an earnest money deposit. Bidder must have the expertise as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or developers as well as having designed, supplied, constructed, and commissioned the BoS of grid-connected solar power projects with a total installed capacity of at least 30 MW to be eligible. One of these projects has to have a capacity of 10 MW or more and be in operation for at least three months before the notice requesting bids.

Alternately, bidders must have completed a single industrial project of Rs 75 crore in the power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry. Before the publication date of the notice requesting tenders, the project must have been in operation for at least six months. 

Additionally, they must have worked as EPC contractors or developers to complete at least one electrical substation with a voltage level of 33 kV or higher, including components such as power transformers and circuit breakers. Before the publication date of the notice requesting bids, the substation must have been in service for at least six months.

As of the last day of the preceding financial year (31st March 2022), the average annual revenue of the bidders over the previous three financial years should be at least Rs 75 crore. In the most recent fiscal year and any two of the three fiscal years prior, bidders’ net worth must have increased. As of the previous fiscal year, bidders should have a working capital of 25 crore rupees.
