The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued two notifications regarding pre-bid and stakeholder consultation meetings for two of its active tenders for 2000 MW solar energy projects (ISTS-IX) and the 100 MWac (200 MWdc) solar plus 50 MW/150 MWh storage projects tender.

For the tender for the selection of solar power developers for setting up of 2000 MW ISTS-connected solar PV power projects in India under tariff-based competitive Bidding (ISTS-IX), the pre-bid meeting has been rescheduled to be conducted on May 20, 2020, at 2 pm. SECI has announced that the meeting will be conducted through video-conferencing, and invitations to the meeting shall be sent on May 20, 2020.

Pertaining to its stakeholders’ consultation meeting for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of 100 MW(AC) solar PV project (200 MW DC capacity) along with 50MW/ 150 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, the nodal agency has stated that following the May 15 stakeholders consultation meeting, an input sheet has been provided for reference to all stakeholders. And all prospective bidders/ stakeholders can provide their inputs in the mentioned sheet and submit them to the agency.

In April, the commission had issued a notification asking all the prospective bidders for its tender for the selection of bidders for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and O&M of 15 MW floating solar PV power plant for different sites at SCCL in Telangana, to submit their pre-bid queries online.

Prior to that, the firm had announced that it had postponed the pre-bid meeting for the tender for 2000 MW ISTS-Connected Solar PV Power Projects (ISTS-IX). The firm had stated that the pre-bid meeting for the tender, along with two other tenders – 2000 MW wind power projects (Tranche-IX), 5000 MW RTC with Thermal Power (RTC-II) – were being extended until further notice.

In its latest round of announcements, the nodal agency has also announced the annulment of its tender for design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 500 solar PV home cooking systems in different districts of different states.

“It is informed that the subject tender which was uploaded on ETS Portal of ISN, CPPP and SECI Website dated October 7, 2020, is hereby stands annulled for further process,” SECI stated.
