SECI Seeks Online Submission of Pre-Bid Queries for 15 MW Floating Solar Tender

SECI has asked all the prospective bidders for its tender for 15 MW floating solar plants at SCCL, Telangana to submit their pre-bid queries online.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a notification asking all the prospective bidders for its tender for the selection of bidders for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and O&M of 15 MW floating solar PV power plant for different sites at SCCL in Telangana, to submit their pre-bid queries online.

In its notice, the renewable energy implementing agency said that “it’s evident that the global outbreak of pandemic Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19 has significantly hampered the functioning of all sectors including institutions, commercial establishments, offices and various manufacturing units are also at standstill. India is phasing through this crucial time having a complete Lockdown of all the States & UTs till May 3, 2020. As a reason only, the Pre-Bid meeting scheduled for the subject tender could not be conducted on April 20, 2020.”

Further adding that in such a situation, all prospective bidders are requested to kindly submit their respective pre-bid queries, so as to save on overall tendering time.

Bidders are required to send in their queries on or before April 24, 2020, as no queries will be entertained after that date. The pre-bid query format has been provided by the department and queries in any other format will not be entertained. All prospective bidders are required to kindly submit their queries in the given format by the mentioned due date only.

In an earlier notification, SECI had extended the deadline for submission of bids on the tender from May 4, 2020, to May 18, 2020. The extension was part of combined notification which also saw the deadline for two other active tenders of the department for prospective solar projects to be developed at the SCCL in Telangana get extensions due to the economic slowdown caused due to the global COVID-19 outbreak and the consequent nationwide lockdown.
