Satyajit Ganguly Joins PXIL as CEO & MD

Satyajit Ganguly has joined Power Exchange India Ltd (PXIL) as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Satyajit's professional experience spanning 35 years entails working with NTPC, Central Electricity Authority in Western Regional Electricity Board (WREB), Power Grid, Lanco Power Ltd, Vedanta Group, OTPC. Before he joined PXIL, Satyajit was Managing Director with North Eastern Transmission Company Ltd since 2018 until June 26, 2023.

Satyajit is said to have expertise in areas of grid management, power plant operations, power exchange operations, business development.

Recently, the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), in its order on a petition filed by the Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), approved its demand for the introduction of the High Price Day Ahead Market (HP-DAM). PXIL had earlier sought approval from the CERC to introduce the HP-DAM on PXIL’s PRATYAY Platform.
