Sanchi Stupa Welcomes 4kW Solar Mill System by Windstream Technologies

Solar city Sanchi is further tapping into the benefits of renewable energy. In a recent announcement, that affirms the state’s resolution ot give a push to RE, the famous Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh has welcomed a pilot project of 4kW for solarmill system installed by a provider of renewable energy products and solutions, Windstream Energy Technologies Pvt Ltd.

The project was won by the firm via competitive bidding in a tender floated by the Madhya Pradesh Government. The mills will generate at least 20KWh of wind energy and help power up the lights on the hill top. The WindWall is powered by solar energy and has vertical axis wind turbines arranged as a wall. The firm claims that these wind walls boast of high power density and smaller footprint.

Windstream has installed similar projects in 35 countries around the world. In India, such projects have been installed in Lakshwadeep, Prof Deendayal Energy Institute in Gandhi Nagar and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Windstream also develops hybrid solarmills that boast of 24-hour power production capability, scalable power generation, mechanical braking at high-speed winds beyond 18.5 m/s, an online tool for power generation monitoring. The power generation for this starts at 2 m/s wind speed.
