Cleantech Solar Group, a provider of renewable energy solutions to corporations in India and Southeast Asia, has announced the appointment of Sachin Jain as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with effect from 23rd June, 2023. Sachin will be taking over from Raju Shukla, who founded the company in 2015 and has been serving as its CEO since. Raju will continue to serve as Advisor to facilitate a smooth transition.

Sachin brings a wealth of clean energy domain knowledge and skills to Cleantech Solar. His experience across consulting, entrepreneurship and business leadership roles, spans over two decades, including over 13 years in the renewable energy sector. His previous roles include Head of Clean Energy for India and the Global Co-Lead for Solar Energy at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Co-Founder and CEO at Oriano Clean Energy, and Head of Strategy at Mahindra’s renewable IPP platform (Susten).  He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, UK, as a Tata Scholar, an MS from Ohio University, US, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Mumbai.

Recently, Cleantech Solar entered long-term solar partnerships with Etika Group of companies, manufacturer and distributor of beverages in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, to develop three rooftop solar PV systems with a total system capacity of 1.7 MWp across Malaysia and Indonesia.
