Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Seeking Consultants for Land Identification Masdar Plans Expansion in Saudi with 1.1 GW & Azerbaijan with 500 MW Projects

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar has issued an RfP for conducting environment and social baseline survey for identification of land for proposed solar parks in Madhya Pradesh

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMS) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) seeking bids for the selection of consultants for conducting environment and social baseline survey for identification of land for the proposed solar parks in Madhya Pradesh.

RUMS has been allocated grant funds from the Clean Technology Fund which are administered by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). RUMS intoned to utilise the funds for the eligible payment under the contract of this RfP. The firm is seeking the consultants for the proposed projects in the Cluster -1 (Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur), Cluster -2 (Morena) Cluster -3 (Ratlam) and Cluster-4 (Rewa, Satna) Districts in the state.

The objective of the proposed assignment is to assess the existing status of environmental and social aspects in the selected districts in Madhya Pradesh, And provide GIS-enabled database to identify threats and issues that may have impact on the proposed large-scale solar projects, Thus, enabling in creating a social and environment baselining of the project area of the proposed solar parks. The successful bidders will have a period of 140 days to complete the survey and furnish its report.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the consultancy firm/ JV should have executed ‘Environment and Social’ baseline or impact assessment studies for renewable energy (RE) projects including its common/shared infrastructure facilities. Under which it should have completed or ongoing consultancy projects for preparing Environment and Social Baseline or Impact Assessment Studies for a solar project of greater than 25 MW capacity (each project) in the last five years at the time of bid submission.

The last date for bid submission is February 27, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for January 29, 2019, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders.
