REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited has issued a Request for Proposal for the selection a transmission service provider through tariff based competitive bidding process to establish Inter-State Transmission system for transmission system for evacuation of power from renewable energy projects for 1000 MW in Rajgarh SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase II.

The last day to submit the bid for the Request for Proposal is November 2, 2023.

The scheduled COD from effective date is 24 months.

The Request for Proposal specifies that the transmission service provide shall ensure that design, construction and testing of all equipment, facilities, components and systems of the project shall be in accordance with the provisions of the transmission service agreement. The transmission service provider shall also be responsible for obtaining the transmission license from the commission.

The bid shall be a single stage two envelope bid comprising the technical bid and the financial bid. The bidders shall submit the bid online through the electronic bidding platform.

The technical bid shall be opened first and the financial bid of only the bidder who have qualified in the technical id shall be opened. The financial bid will comprise of two rounds. In the first round, the initial offer of the responsive bids would be opened and quoted transmission charges of initial offer shall be ranked on the basis of ascending order. The bidders, in the first fifty per cent of the ranking (with any fraction rounded off to higher integer) or four bidders, whichever is higher, shall qualify for participating in the electronic reverse auction stage and submit their final offer.

Earlier, RECPDCL issued a tender for the selection of a transmission service provider via tariff-based competitive bidding process to set up an ISTS (Interstate Transmission State) for evacuating 20 GW power from Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) under phase-III, part I.
